Backdated Post - Backyard and Pointe de la Parata

This day started with a late morning, exercises led by Dolphin, lunch, and a chat with the neighbor Marcel. Apparently the entire hill on which our air bnb sits is owned by his family. He gave us the scoop about places to eat for dinner and also told us about a nice walking path behind where we were staying.

Feather and Wolfie stretch - Wolfie has her bottle in her mouth during the stretch.

Everybody runs in place.

Everybody doing mountain climbers.

After lunch we decided to go on Marcel's walk. It was lovely. We saw an old shepherd's hut, a war bunker, and a cow with her calf.

Path we followed.

Me in a field of flowers.

Ferris and Le Grand Monsieur being adorably couple-y while looking at the mountains.

Me in front of the old bomb shelter.

Me holding up Wolfie so she can see the old bomb shelter.

Gorgeous trees.

Ferris, me, and Feather in a tree.

Cow family!

Everyone walks back through some trees.

Everyone walking back through a field.

Pretty view from the field.

After our nature walk we drove out to Point de la Parata, which is one of many Genoese watchtowers along the coast of Corsica. The drive was pretty, as usual for Corsica.

Wolfie sleeping in the carseat.

The coast by the tower.

The walk up to the tower was also pretty, with some flower-covered hills and a rocky coastline.

Cool flower-covered rock formations.

Rocks with a lighthouse.

Feather and Ferris by the tower.

Closer-up view of the tower.

There was a path going around the tower but it was far too dangerous for Wolfie, so we took turns. Feather and I stayed back for the first round and then took our walk after everyone else came back.

Looking down at the water - you can see why it's not great for a toddler.

Feather helps Wolfie walk along a rock wall while we wait for the others to return.

Pretty rocks with red plants.

Hilly coast and our path.

Feather with the tower.

The tower looks like a fairy castle from this angle.

By the time Feather and I got back to everyone else it was almost sunset so we decided to stay and watch the sunset happen.

Sunset reflecting in the ocean.

Sunset with rocks and water.

Sunset starting over the water.

Once it got dark, we drove to Ajaccio to have dinner at A Merendella Citadina, which I don't have pictures of but I'd recommend their food! After that we went back to the air bnb for bed.
